Last year the awards played host to 152 DJ's, over 50 record labels and over 20 media outlets from across the country. With over 650 in attendance, SEAs celebrated the accomplishments of musical contributors like: DJ's, producers, independent labels & artists, retail stores, and promoters who help shape the sound of urban culture. Finally, people who have been putting it down for years, just for the love, gained the recognition they deserve.

This year there have been four new target cities added including Miami - FL, Birmingham - AL, Houston - TX, and Jackson - MS. And we can't forget about Nashville, Memphis and Atlanta. This year the organizers promise to produce a show bigger and better than the last.
